The Samsung 990 PRO 1TB is a high-performance NVMe SSD designed for modern desktop PCs, workstations and compatible gaming systems. Using the PCIe Gen 4.0 x4 interface and NVMe 2.0 protocol, it delivers fast storage performance for demanding applications, gaming, content creation and everyday workloads.

With sequential read speeds of up to 7,450 MB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 6,900 MB/s, the 990 PRO is designed to provide fast system boot times, rapid application loading and efficient large-file transfers. Random performance reaches up to 1,200K IOPS read and 1,550K IOPS write, supporting responsive multitasking and demanding workloads.

The drive uses Samsung V-NAND TLC flash memory, a Samsung in-house controller and 1GB LPDDR4 DRAM cache on the 1TB model. Its compact M.2 2280 form factor makes it suitable for compatible desktop and laptop systems.
