The AMD Ryzen™ 5 8400F is a modern 6-core, 12-thread desktop processor from AMD’s Ryzen 8000 Series, built on the efficient Zen 4 architecture. With a 4.2GHz base clock and boost speeds of up to 4.7GHz, it delivers responsive performance for gaming, productivity, multitasking and everyday computing.

Built for the AM5 platform, the Ryzen 5 8400F supports DDR5 memory and PCIe 4.0, providing a modern foundation for compatible gaming PCs and performance-oriented desktop systems. It features 6MB of L2 cache and 16MB of L3 cache, for a total of 22MB of cache.

The processor has a 65W default TDP and is unlocked for overclocking. It also supports AMD EXPO memory overclocking technology, Precision Boost Overdrive and AMD Ryzen Master on compatible systems.

As an F-series processor, the Ryzen 5 8400F requires a dedicated graphics card because it does not provide integrated graphics. This TRAY/OEM version is supplied as the processor rather than a retail boxed package.
